hi…我是jill（吉兒），是個熱愛旅行的人，曾經到過許多地方自助旅行，像是歐洲、澳洲、紐西蘭、日本等國家，
台北小蕃薯女性背包之家，是我在2009年七月結束整整一年的背包客生活後，回到台北以自己的家成立的，希望能夠提供女性背包客，
一個安全舒適的地方，因此小蕃薯背包之家，只接受女性背包客，另有一間雙人房，則是歡迎情侶入住，對其他男性背包客，我們感到非常抱歉。
在國外旅行時，我曾住過很多便宜又舒適的背包客棧，因此回國後，我也希望自己的背包之家，能夠提供這樣如此美好的環境。
所以小蕃薯女性背包之家dorm room一個床位不分平假日僅台幣600元一晚，單人房則是800元一晚，雙人房則是1000一晚，dorm room內有四個床位，
原則上只接受女性房客，但接受男女四人要包房，且所有訂房超過三晚即可享95折優待，訂房五晚則享95折優惠，相信對背包客來說是非常平價。
小蕃薯之家，離全台灣最大的夜市（士林觀光夜市）僅需步行三分鐘，離劍潭捷運站，也是步行五分鐘，非常適合沒有交通工具的背包客，
利用捷運遊遍全台北的觀光景點。
我命名我的背包之家為”小蕃薯”，這是因為在國外時，我的外國友人們對台灣總是充滿好奇心且往往對台灣的位置總是搞不太清楚，
身為台灣人的我，當然不能放過介紹台灣好、台灣美囉!因此,為了加深他們對台灣印象，
我會告訴他們形容台灣地形外表看似像 sweet potato (蕃薯)且指著地圖告訴他們這裡是台灣時，他們也覺得確實蠻像的 sweet potato ，
也因為如此，我發現了他們就此忘不了"taiwan"台灣這個國家，我也為此感到開心及驕傲呢！
因此，回國後在統籌背包客棧事宜時，我不加思考地決定就以"小蕃薯"來命名我的背包之家。

the original of “taipei sweet potato female guest house”
i am from taiwan and live in taipei at this moment, in the last 1 year i successfully travelled to many countries on my own, such as fiji, new zealand, australia, hong kong. even though by the time i didn't have a lot of money for travelling, but i never easily gave up on this. i ever stayed in many different kinds of backpackers’ hostels and family hostels when i was travelling. eventually i realized that how important the accommodation is for tourists, and i also noticed that in overseas some cheap hostels still can provide a comfortable, clean and tidy room for tourists. then, tourists eventually would have a good impression on this hostel and even this city. therefore, i hope that i can also provide a higher quality and cheaper accommodation for everyone who is willing to travel to this gorgeous city “taipei”. i do hope you can feel free to walk around every corner of taipei, and enjoy your stay in taipei.
