有時候在工作上，一經互相溝通，才發現自己的想法跟同事一樣時，總會像遇到知音般特別興奮。這一方面表示有人也對該事抱持同樣看法，另一方面則備覺信心滿滿，這時候我們常會說 ”great minds think alike! ” （英雄所見略同），給自己及對方加油打氣一下！

paul：i think we shouldn’t be too aggressive on discount in the beginning. after all, it’s a new product and the brand awareness and equity need to be built first.

paul：我想我們不應該一開始就給很大的折扣。畢竟這是新的產品，品牌知名度還有形象都還有待建立。

simon：exactly, if we start giving discount, consumers will get the impression that this isn’t a premium brand and we’ll lose out later.

simon：沒錯，如果我們一開始就給折扣，消費者會感覺這不是個高檔品牌，那我們以後就沒戲唱了。

paul：“great minds think alike!” i’m so glad i’m not the only one that shares the same view. when i told the retail department about my decision, they were so crestfallen. it’s like there’s no future for the new product at all.

paul：真是英雄所見略同！真高興我不是唯一這麼想的人。我跟零售部門講我的決定時，他們每個人都垂頭喪氣的，好像這產品沒有未來似的。

simon：well, you know about retail people, they are only interested in quick sales figure without thinking about the future.

simon：你是知道零售部門的，他們只想要業績，才不會想太遠呢。

paul：i just wish they had your mindset, too.

paul：真希望他們的想法和你一樣就好了。
